The 2012 Texas primary season has begun. Congratulations to Court of Criminal Appeals Justice Elsa Alcala
On Tuesday, March 22nd, Governor Rick Perry announced the appointment of First Court of Appeals Justice Elsa Alcala to the vacancy in the state’s highest criminal court. The term expires after the next general election, and will be a part of the 2012 Primary ballot.
Alcala was a justice on the First Court of Appeals in Harris County, and former judge of the 338th District Court in Harris County. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association Appellate Section, Fort Bend County Bar Association, and Mexican American Bar Association.
