This year’s live and silent auctions will offer something for everyone – historical pieces, great artwork, ornaments, sports memorabilia, and other items for every budget.  Click here for a comprehensive listing of items.

The silent auction will begin on Monday, February 6, at 5:30pm, and conclude during the banquet.  The live auction, conducted by auctioneer (and county commissioner) Ron Morrison will be during the banquet.  Final placement of items (live or silent) will be decided on closer to the dinner.

Some highlighted items include:

Private tour for 4 people of the Reagan Ranch (Rancho del Cielo) in Santa Barbara.  Closed to the public, this is a rare chance to tour a piece of history and literally walk in the footsteps of The Gipper – donated by Tom Maynard and Jay Hoffman.

For the silent auction, there may be a minimum bid and/or a required bid increment.   Winning bidders who do not comply with these rules, may be disqualified.

The silent auction will end sometime during the banquet (5 minute notice will be given).  Checkout and payment will begin immediately upon adjournment of the Reagan Dinner.  You are expected to pay for and pick up your items that evening if at all possible.   We can accept cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), or checks.  Checks should be payable to WCRP.

Marriott Austin North in Round Rock

On Monday, February 6, the Williamson County Republican Party will be holding its annual Reagan Dinner in the ballroom of the Marriott Austin North in Round Rock’s La Frontera development.  The Reagan Dinner is the Williamson County Republican Party’s major annual fundraiser, and includes both a live and silent auction.  Proceeds are used to fund voter education, voter registration, headquarters operations, and other projects of the local party.

We are pleased to announce that Governor Rick Perry will be our keynote speaker, and First Lady Anita Perry will also be in attendance.

President George Washington (well known impersonator Mark Collins), and First Lady Martha, will emcee the evening’s banquet, and offer inspirational messages throughout the evening.

Table Sponsorship opportunities are available at the $10,000. $5,000, $2,500, and $1,250 levels.  Recognition includes a special host reception with dignitaries & other elected officials (number of attendees based on sponsorship level), premium seating for 10, as well as recognition at the event, in the party newsletter, in the dinner program, and elsewhere.  A limited number of individual tickets are available for $75 per person.  Contact Dinner Chairman Nita Davidson at davidsondr@ecpi.com or 512-635-6482  for more information or to reserve your table today!  A sponsorship form can be downloaded by clicking here.

Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 6 – All Republicans are invited to attend and participate in any or all of the evening’s festivities. Please RSVP if you have a chance so we can be sure to have enough refreshments and verify we will have a good selection of items, but feel free to attend in any case. Plates, plasticware, napkins, coffee, drinks, and a starter supply of BBQ will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring along enough of the following to share with others, along with the appropriate serving utensils. Of course, you are welcomed to bring additional specialties of your choice from other categories as well!

The evening will include Christmas music, good friends, a little politics, some mistle-toe, and our traditional visit from Santa.

Brown/Blue Santa — Toys for needy children to be distributed through the Brown/Blue Santa programs of local law enforcement agencies will be collected. Unwrapped toys are preferred. If you are bringing wrapped presents, please attach a note describing the contents.  If you would prefer to make a cash donation, we have elves standing by to do some shopping on your behalf for Brown/Blue Santa.

Christmas Music – A wide variety of Christmas music will provide a great background for fun and fellowship.

Children’s Area – Children will be treated to a special crafts area, and a visit from Santa.

White Elephant gift exchange — Participants will bring a wrapped present. Perhaps something desirable or perhaps a “White Elephant”. Each participant will receive a number. #1 will unwrap a gift.

#2 can choose another gift-or take the gift from #1 (in which case #1 gets to unwrap another gift).

And so on down the line until everyone has a gift.  Those participating in the gift exchange need to stay for the entire event, not just until you receive your own gift.  Final rules will be gone over at the exchange.

Directions to the San Gabriel Community Center in Georgetown:

From IH-35 going North to Georgetown, take the Andice Road exit, exit 261A.

From IH-35 going South to Georgetown, take the Andice Road exit, exit 262.

Turn East on Williams Drive and go to the T intersection.

At the T intersection, Austin Ave., turn Left.

Go two-tenths of a mile and turn right on Stadium Drive.

At the stop sign you will see a white sign with green letters that says, Community Center

Turn left on Morrow St. and go past the barns and ball fields.

Keep looking for the next Community Center sign.  The Community Center is a rock building on the left.

Volunteers – Volunteers are key to the success of the Christmas Party.  We will need people to set up the room during the day, assistants during the party, and a crew to help clean up afterwards.  If you are able to volunteer, please send an email to info@williamsoncountygop.org with your interests and availability.
