On November 8th, there will be ten constitutional amendments on the ballot, and some cities, schools, and other districts may have bonds and/or amendments to consider.

Due to the three judge panel moving the filing deadline once again, we are forced to postpone the filing deadline party. We will have an updated announcement as soon as the details are known.

We are adding a special request to this year’s filing deadline party: Cookies for our troops at Ft Hood. Come by Republican Headquarters in Georgetown at 6:00pm to celebrate the end of the filing season, and find out who all the candidates will be on the ballot at around 6:30pm. Attendees are asked to bring a couple dozen cookies to share that evening, and a few dozen more for our troops in Ft. Hood. A group of volunteers from Sun City led by Barbara and Howard Konetchy regularly travel to Ft Hood to give departing/returning troops a snack and a little Texas hospitality. All uneaten cookies will be boxed up and delivered to Ft. Hood as a part of this wonderful effort. Cookies can be brought with you that evening, or dropped off anytime after 10am on Thursday, December 15. Coffee, sodas, and water will also be served.
