			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="ec3_postcontent"><p>Due to the changing dynamics in the  race for the Senate in Nevada, Sharron Angle has  had to cancel her August 20<sup>th</sup> appearances in Williamson  County.  While we are  disappointed, we wish Sharron continued success in her race to retire Harry Reid  from the US Senate and we urge that you  continue to support her as we do.</p>
<p>We apologize for any inconvenience,  and will look for other opportunities to bring her to central  Texas in the  future.</p>

The Williamson County Republican Party is proud of the men and women who have stepped forward to ask for your vote in the March primary. With your participation, we will continue to elect candidates who are committed to maintaining the low crime rate and high quality of life we have come to expect in Williamson County.</p>
<p>If you wish to have any choice in who will serve you in Congress, in District 20 of the Texas House, as County Treasurer, County Surveyor, or several other offices, you will need to educate yourself about the Republican candidates who have filed, and vote in the Republican Primary. Once again, we are the only party offering voters a choice in every office on the ballot.</p>

<p><strong>Ballot Proposition #1: Photo ID &#8211; </strong>The Texas legislature should make it a priority to protect the integrity of our election process by enacting legislation that requires voters to provide valid photo identification in order to cast a ballot in any and all elections conducted in the State of Texas.</p>

</strong><strong>Ballot Proposition #2: Controlling Government Growth &#8211; </strong>Every government body in Texas should be required to limit any annual increase in its budget and spending to the combined increase of population and inflation unless it first gets voter approval to exceed the allowed annual growth or in the case of an official emergency.</p>

</strong><strong>Ballot Proposition #3: Cutting Federal Income Taxes &#8211; </strong>In addition to aggressively eliminating irresponsible federal spending, Congress should empower American citizens to stimulate the economy by Congress cutting federal income taxes for all federal taxpayers, rather than spending hundreds of billions of dollars on so-called “federal economic stimulus”.</p>

</strong><strong>Ballot Proposition #5: Sonograms &#8211; </strong>The Texas Legislature should enact legislation requiring a sonogram to be performed and shown to each mother about to undergo a medically unnecessary, elective abortion.</p>
