The Organizational meeting of the Williamson County Republican Party Executive Committee attracted over 150 enthusiastic attendees.
Officers for the 2010 – 2012 term include:
Bill Fairbrother, Chairman
Nita Davidson, Vice Chairman
Cindi McIntyre, Secretary
Jon Jewett, Treasurer
The executive committee debated and overwhelmingly adopted a resolution stating that we do not concur with the Republican Party of Texas’ decisions to deny booth space to several organizations at the upcoming convention, and asking them to ‘revisit and reverse its decision post haste’.
Plans for the state convention were also discussed, and RPT Chairman Candidate Steve Munisteri gave a rousing speech. Surrogates also spoke on behalf of Chairman Cathie Adams and candidate Tom Mechler.
Chairman Fairbrother was impressed with the energy and enthusiasm, and is looking forward to the fall campaign.
